Daddy

Yesterday was my daddy's birthday and last week was Father's Day, and my brother and I, we didn't know how to celebrate or what to do for him. I mean, what do you do for a person who doesn't like parties held for him, and considers money spent on himself a waste??

You see, he's a very simple man. There's nothing that he wants that can be bought (except for that remote control toy helicopter that can fly). He's ever contented and only likes to dream big: one of his famous day dream is the if-i-have-lotsa-money dream.

He's the one that helped me shoot down that annoying lizard which was under the breakfast table this morning, the one who routinely walks up G hill with me in the evenings. And the one who's home more often than me because of his oh-so-wonderful job.

On his birthday, he didn't want to go out to a fancy restaurant because "no need to waste money lah"- but we made him go out anyway, and he was happy seeing us happy; I didn't buy him anything fancy, instead he bought me something- and that made HIM happy. Basically, for a person like him, the BEST gift my brother and I can give him on his birthday is to be happy. And obedience, I'm sure.

He's not perfect, but nobody is. I thank God for him =)

Almost Done

Yes, my blogs been pretty dead.

I wanted to post something up last week, and last last week because there were some stuff that I NEEDED to tell someone but don't know who to tell so why not just tell it to the whole worldwide websters?

Even my little loyal doggy who was always ALWAYS by my side's not here anymore :(

But emo blogs are not good for anyone's soul :P

So, here's a happy thought: EXAMS ARE COMING TO AN END!!! In one week, one days time :D

I can finally see the light at the end of this month long tunnel =D

Yesterday my dad, brother and I were scrolling through old photos and noticing the physical changes that many people have gone through.

Conclusion: skinny people don't change much in terms of looks.

The biggest change came in the form of my brother (didn't THAT just say something about his size? haha. Kidding only, Andrew!)!

When he was shorter than I.

He said it was the ANGLE.
But round is the only shape without an angle XD

Got one more cuter picture! Its so amazingly..cute (did I just call my brother CUTE? oh no..) that I would need his permission before posting it up here. Doubt he'll ever grant me the permission though.

But seriously, thinking it was only about 3 years ago?

HAHAHAHA.

it's holy saturday today. did u know?

It's only right to devote at least one blog post to this special weekend. Though it's not over yet.

Good Friday was just like any other day. A quiet affair. No holidays (boohoo). I've associated "important days" with a big holiday, parties, various practices and events to attend etc. Perhaps it is good that this year, Easter is a quiet one (though I wish it weren't lol).

What I managed to bring home from yesterday's Good Friday message: Jesus totally understands our suffering because he himself went through it before. Physical pain? Been there, done that. Emotional pain? Ditto. Loneliness? He totally gets it- being separated from man (disciples dumped him, Peter betrayed him) AND GOD (at least we'll always have God even if friends dump us yea?).

And I never did realise that the first and second prayer that Jesus prayed in Gethsemane, as recorded in Matthew, had a significant difference!

The interesting thing is that we have a God who suffered for us so that we can be free, not the other way round :) Nothing new- just awesome reminders.

It feels as though I've not been in church for ages.. The familiar feeling of sitting down there and listening to the speaker, it feels like eons since I did that. I didn't even feel this way when I came back from NS! weird leh?

exams are over!

Things I've done since exams over:

drove myself and a bunch of people down to Midvalley- an achievement in itself :P I didn't get lost *yay!*, but I realised there are so so many roads in KL that I've not been on or even heard of. KL IS bigger than I thought.

Watched Shinjuku Incident. Definitely not the kinda movie I'll usually watch. It's so dark, sad, full of violence.. nuh uh. I like happy movies. But I'm glad I watched the movie though. Reminded me that life isn't a bed of roses for everyone and sad endings DO happen. Totally a blow to my attempts in learning to be optimistic. heh.
Spoiler: The only reason I'd watched it was 'cause Daniel Wu was in it but then too bad halfway through the show he became mad and put on make-up blergh and dieded ugh.

Attended Matt's birthday dinner (happy belated birthday Matt) on the same day.

Watched shopaholic.

Played Captain Ball on a Tuesday. Something very rare nowdays.

Went out for tea twice.

Things I've yet to do:

Clean my room, especially the study table. It's always in a mess after exams.

Sleep more. I've been feeling lethargic these past few days, don't know why.

Play paintball. I guess this has gotta wait til after the real AS.

Clear my email inboxes.

when u think things are bad..

..think again!

I thought having exams were bad, then I had a pimple right under my nose.

I thought having exams AND a pimple right under my nose was bad, then I had a flu.

Having flu and a pimple right under the nose is a terrible combination. The pimple's always in the way.

So remember, when u think you're stuck in the worst situation, don't complain because things can always get worse. There's no such thing as a worst situation.

Now, back to chemistry :)

Just got back from a buffet. Stuffed ><

I can't do maths for more than an hour. I CAN'T. After an hour of maths, no mood to study already.

Another thing I can't do: study in the library :(

I was going through my past physics test paper last night (while CG was going on hehe) and I couldn't figure how I managed to pull through with a decent grade for that paper. Some supernatural power must have helped me out during last year's test3, I tell ya!

Earth Hour tonight! Another reason for a break from the books :P hehe. I wonder how KL will look like; I can't wait to see what happens! Will the lights all go off one by one? Cool leh! Save the earth (use both sides of a testpad paper, off the fan when studying at night)! Seriously lah. Not save the earth, save money also what, right?

one hour of night walking will be nice =)

lack of updates

Sorry for the lack of updates...

*silence*

..if there's anyone still here, anyway!

Exams are just around the corner..like in 2 weeks time, and another one in *gasp* 59 days! 59 days may seem like eternity to some, but to me, it's too close.. way too close! Yet, I can't wait for it to be done and over. And then? 4 days of holiday! haha. Better than nothing, right? At LEAST they'll be that Genting trip and (hopefully) road trip to look forward to yeah.

I'm having a one week break from the usual lectures now. Note: I did not say holidays. Because it is not!!!! And I don't mean to sound whiney, but it's really no holiday. For the first 2 days of my so called "holiday", I've spent a total of *counts* approximately 14 hours in the college library. That is 14 out of 48 hours, mine you!

Of course, I have to admit that not all 14 hours were devoted to studying ;P And, it's actually quite tolerable to study for such a long time with friends to suffer along with.

Looking forward to another day in the library tomorrow. *thinks of the shopping I can do once the studying is done*

Other stuffs that's been going on:

I found this yesplacement/au pair thingy for girls only which is so cool! It's literally work and travel.. Problem is, I don't have one whole year to spare for this thingy. Anybody would like to give me one year of your life??

My birthday's coming! And for once after many many years, it actually feels like it ^^ I'm glad that I no longer feel 16 and have come to terms that I'll be 19 in a few days time.

Received a card from Tabby!! Thank you!!! Why are US things (even the envelope, goodness!) so cute and nice?

My aunt and cousin are coming soon! I thank God for happy families.

I'm going to the pasar malam soon. Before that, I've gotta take a bath. Ciao!
